She is also board certified in mental illness and advanced psychopharmacology by the International College of Professional Psychology.  She obtained her Ph.D. in psychology from Western Michigan University.  She is currently the Director of Behavioral Health Services at The Center.  She has over 25 years of experience working in the field of developmental disabilities.  She is also an adjunct instructor for the University of Houston – Clear Lake and Houston Community college.  She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology.  She is a member of the American Psychological Association, American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and the Association for Behavior Analysis.  She has served as the president, board member, program chair, and hotel coordinator for the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis.   She has published several professional journal articles and a book chapter in applied behavior analysis.  She has published in The Behavior Analyst,  Psychological Record, Psychological Reports, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Behavior, Applied Research in Mental Retardation, and the Journal of Developmental and Physical Disabilities.  Since 1996, she has been listed in The Marquis – Who’s Who in the World.  She has provided over 50 professional presentations on a variety of topics including applied behavior analysis, behavioral pharmacology, behavior therapy, dual diagnosis, grief therapy, aging, and developmental disabilities.
