Learning to talk in simple sentences

This child started treatment at age 4.  He could imitate only a couple of sounds and one word (coke) when he began. He attends on a part time basis and has made great improvements in many areas.  In this clip you will see how he does not make many vocalizations or communicative attempts to gain access to desired items.

In the follow up clip, several months later, you see he has begun to use simple sentences spontaneously, such as  "want toy" or "I want bounce."
