INCLUSION
How Does Inclusion
Work at the Shape of Behavior?
Upon reaching a certain mastery criteria, your child will
have the opportunity to attend inclusion on site (at
certain locations) or in a private school with a shadow.
This provides frequent opportunities for your child to
interact and learn from typically developing peers.
Our
Shadow Program
The Shape
of Behavior Shadow Program
Includes the Following:
•
Programming focused on skills identified in
the literature
to be predictors of outcome
• Data collections on critical areas to assess independence for success
in the inclusion environment
• Analysis by the BCBA monthly to determine interventions needed to sustain
or increase child performance in academic, social,
and independent learning skills.
• Data-based decisions for systematic fading of the Shadow and interventions
in the inclusion environment
• Teacher/Parent/Shadow/BCBA or BCABA team
effort and collaboration for
the success of the child. |
Data collection and intervention in the
inclusive environment are essential to assure your child
has the support to be successful in this learning environment.
The Shadow systematically fades him/herself out of the
picture until your child is independently attending.

some of our story books to
learn how many of our children have been able to be successfully
and independently included with typically developing peers!
