Sonia Malhotra M.A., BCBA

Sonia Malhotra graduated with a Master's degree in Low Incidence Disabilities and Autism from Sam Houston State University in 2015, and she became a board certified behavior analyst the same year. She has over 15 years of experience providing ABA therapy in-clinic and in-home to children with disabilities, and she also worked as a teacher for 10 years prior to moving to Texas in 2007. Her two bachelor's degrees are in education and teaching and home science with a major in child development and nutrition. She is currently holding a volunteer position as a member of the board of directors for a non-profit special needs inclusion drum team, Let Them Drum. In her free time, she practices yoga and does volunteer work to help improve the lives of those in the community who have special needs.
Problems with sleep are commonly experienced by individuals who have autism and other developmental disabilities. The majority of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have at least one sleep problem (Park et al., 2012).
